Though the maintenance was not level with my satisfaction, my experience at this ice rink was quite satisfactory. The ice was smoother than average to skate on and there were not too many people to obstruct the way. However, some concerns I would like to raise as as follows: -The roof looks very mouldy, and has a lot of fallen tiles. This state will keep worsening if no proper maintenance is made. -The bathrooms are of inferior quality, even comparable to your average public toilet. Please repair the door of the third stall from the left in the men’s bathroom However, the experience met my expectations and was an enjoyable experience for me. Recommended!

If your child is a preschooler or in kindy and a beginner, I strongly advise against enrolling them in Macquarie Ice Rink’s Learn to Skate program. Although each class is advertised as 30 minutes long, the actual learning time is disappointingly short. The first 10 to 15 minutes are spent lining up the kids and taking attendance, so the real skating lesson only lasts about 15 minutes. The class ends right on time, leaving very little opportunity for children to learn. When I raised this concern with the staff, they were not apologetic at all. In fact, one of the staff who also be seen working at the front desk, a middle-aged woman, her attitude was quite arrogant, as if saying, ‘If you don’t like it, don’t come.’ If I had more options, I would definitely not choose this rink. This is a warning for other parents to make an informed decision. While if your kids are older and not in a beginning level, you are welcome to participate in their lessons. The instructors themselves are generally nice. (I’ve also attached a photo as evidence. The class was supposed to start at 5:15, but as shown in the photo, it was already 5:26 and they were still taking attendance... To be honest, I was initially going to let this go, but the arrogant response from the staff became the trigger for me to post this review.)

The ice is better than most other rinks, very busy so avoid peak times. For practice, recommend figure sessions rather than public/mega skate

Great fun for the family! Ice gets a little cold tho so make sure to wrap up warm 🥶😜. My son and his friend had a great time learning to skate. Though I wasn’t too great at it 🤣🤪
